All Beaufort County Offices and Facilities Closed This Week
Please see the attached General Announcement for full details and links.
All Beaufort County government offices and facilities will remain closed the remainder of the week due to a shift in storm pattern of Hurricane Florence.
According to a press conference this morning by Beaufort County Sheriff P.J. Tanner, Beaufort County is in “standby mode” and support resources are positioned and ready to assist. The Sheriff strongly urges those choosing to evacuate to go toward Florida and Georgia.
Please be prepared and continue to plan ahead of this storm, as there remains uncertainty on how it may impact Beaufort County. State, County and municipal emergency management officials are closely monitoring Hurricane Florence and are prepared to rapidly deploy resources, if necessary.
The Sheriff’s Office will continue to keep the public updated of official recommendations or instructions regarding public safety.
