Shortly after 11 a.m. this morning, South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster lifted the evacuation order for Beaufort County that was scheduled to go into effect at 12 noon today. The storm track of Hurricane Florence continues to fluctuate and Beaufort County is now back inside the southernmost range of the potential storm impacts.

As such, all Beaufort County government offices and facilities, to include Convenience Centers, Library branches, and PALS facilities, remain closed until further notice. Emergency and law enforcement services will remain available. Officials will continue to monitor the storm and make decisions on future operational status as additional information becomes available.
