Town of Hilton Head Island to Move Forward on Residential Roadways Denied by FEMA
The following was copied from a Press Release issued by the Town of Hilton Head Island. At this time, this information is for the Hilton Head Island only and does not pertain to activities being conducted by the County and on behalf of the Town of Bluffton, Town of Port Royal, and the City of Beaufort.

As previously reported, FEMA has denied reimbursement for collection of storm-related debris from several of the private roadways from the Town’s most recent submission seeking approval. Town staff, along with the Town’s debris contractors, have evaluated and estimated the amount of debris along each of the denied roadways; as a result, the Town has determined that the roadways listed below do not have enough debris to warrant an appeal of FEMA’s denial.
The Town of Hilton Head Island will instead coordinate efforts to remove disaster-related storm debris from the following list of residential roadways that were recently denied by FEMA:

Ln., Bligen Ln., Bloom Way, Blossom Place, Candy Doll Bluff, Capital Business Park, Capri Ln., Carlene Cove, Carters Manor, Ceasar Place, Chastain Ct., Circlewood Dr., Clifford Miller Dr., Cobia Ct., Corrine Ln., Crab Line Ct., Creek Landing Trace, Deep Fording, Driftwood Ln., Duey Hill Dr., Eugene Dr., Falabella Manor, Farmers Club Dr., Freddies Way, Fuller Pointe Dr., Great Barracuda Ln., Hammack Oaks Cir., Hanahan Ln., Henry Ln., Horse Sugar Ln., Indian Pipe Ln., Julia Dr., Junior Trace, Lavender Cir., Little Garden Path, Little Harbour Manor, Mackeral Dr., Manatee Way, Mustang Ln., North Forest Beach Ct., Oceanwood Trace, Olive Shell Ct., Orage Ln., Outlaw Rd., Palm Tree Place, Pastel Ln., Pine Field Rd., Sadie Common, Sam Frazier Retreat, Sandcastle Ln., Sea Hawk Ln., Sea Spray Ln., Singleton Shores Manor, Sparkleberry Ln., Still Run Ramble, Sunday Ford Dr., Surf Watch Way, Tidal Bluff Rd., Tidewater Manor, Trellis Ct., Vanessa Ln., Walking Horse St., Wanderer Ln., and William Dr.
The Town requests that residents or property owners, who desire assistance removing the debris, move all residential storm-related disaster debris to the right-of-way area of the roadways listed above before Tuesday, January 31, 2017. The Town will begin coordinating volunteer efforts to remove the storm-related debris from these road right-of-ways after this date.
Removal of storm-related debris from commercial property is not eligible for reimbursement under FEMA’s public assistance program. Consequently, the Town will not be removing debris from any of the privately-owned commercial roadways. The property owners will be responsible for the removal of debris from these road right-of-ways.
